Faithfulness: Waiting is just part of the Adventure

My mind can run wild some days. Maybe you can identify with these:

Is it really worth it?

or

How much longer do I have to wait for God to answer my prayers?

or

Will I ever get unstuck from where I am?

or

Will I ever see the fruit of my labour?

If you have ever felt like giving up, settling for less or if you are just so full of doubt, keep reading :)

For so long, I had been feeling stuck. I was working at a place that has a lovely environment and great people, but I knew I was not using the gifts and talents God has given me. I knew I was settling. I knew I could do better.

But what is next?

I was not really sure... at all.

But today, I was reminded that while I wait on God to answer my prayers, I still have a job to do.

I must remain faithful.

Faith is the belief that what we hope for will come to pass.

Faith is the believing before seeing.

Faith is letting God have control.

And I know that when we are faithful in the small things, He will bless us with the bigger things.

You see, the results of everything we do, has to be left up to the One who created it all.

So where are you today? Are you stuck? Are you full of doubt? Are you trying to take matters into your own hands, without letting God lead?

Just rest in His peace.

He has already marked out the path for you.

Waiting is just part of the adventure.

The goal of remaining faithful is that not that we do work for God, but that we allow Him to do His work through us.

Now, wait a minute. I want to be REAL before going further, because honestly, this is SO much easier talking about than actually living it out.

It is completely valid to admit that faith can become stale, routine-like and even lifeless. It is so easy to fade and drift when we don't hear from God. And, yes, we do get lazy and stop looking to Him for guidance.

I think waiting is a test. Usually when a test is going on, the teacher is silently anticipating how you will do without his or her help.

So with God, we must remain HOPEFUL and DETERMINED that HIS WAYS will prevail!! An outcome and result will reign true!

AND...

I don’t know if you have realized this yet, but His ways are not always what we first have in mind. His ways are not always what we want at that given moment. However, by remaining faithful through the waiting, His desires become ours and we step out into this amazing adventure.

I also want you to appreciate the small moments. Place God over everything, and you will start to see the still, divine moments that make living this crazy life so worth it!

‘Cause we can make our plans, but God determines our steps. And we can want all we want, but God knows our deepest need.

I know He has more in store for you than you can even imagine.

Just hold on to Him.

Waiting is just part of the adventure.

Be Empowered:

Romans 8:28 says, "And we know that God causes EVERYTHING to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."
