Leave a Spark this Year

It is the start of the New Year. Just a few days ago, the world celebrated a new beginning.

A fresh start with the endless hope of possibilities.

With a chance to leave old ways behind.

And a chance to make a change for the better.

There were fireworks, maybe some confetti, lots of kisses and some sparks in our hearts for what 2017 could bring us.

As I reflect on all the big decisions, failures, disappointments, adventures, milestones, achievements, and love I shared in 2016, I have realized that it is in the simplest of moments that I find the most cherished new beginnings.

And as I reflect while moving forward, I realize that all we really need is God's love. It's His love that lights up the darkness. It gives hope to what is not yet seen. It gives strength to the weak and broken heart. And it is a sparkle in the lonely nights.

I believe you and I are to leave a spark of God's love everywhere we go.

And I believe this year is going to be filled with things beyond our wildest dreams.

So let's go with that simple, yet profound hope.

Let's make this year HIS year by spreading His love.

Be brave and strong out there. Follow His dreams and purpose for your life.

We'll be a contagious fire.
