Dear Lonely Girl on Valentine's Day

Loneliness.

We have all felt it at some point in our life.

Sometimes we feel it when our sister goes off to college and we're not sure when we'll will see her next. Sometimes we feel it when we receive sad news about someone or something we care about. Sometimes we feel it alone in our rooms or sometimes we feel it in a crowd of people.

And sometimes we feel it on Valentine's day.

Why?

'Cause, no one was created to be alone.

We all were created to be cherished and loved.

And while yes, I can't wait for my Valentines date with my boyfriend, I know we are all worthy of the highest form of love.

It is the greatest secret....

In all these things we are more than conquerors through Christ who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.EndFragment (Romans 8:37)

So, dear lonely girl on Valentines day...

You are worthy of love.

True love.

Maybe this year you won't have that special date or the chocolate or flowers, but you are loved. Deeply loved by the unshakable and indescribable Creator of EVERYTHING.

I suggest you shake that feeling of loneliness away and start lifting you head up in the truth that you are loved.

And BELIEVE it.

The second greatest gift is that God INVITES you to love Him back.

StartFragmentGod is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.”

(1 John 4:16)EndFragment

He doesn't force you or demand your love, but today, the invitation is open.

We love because He first loved us.

Today, I hope you simply know you are loved.
